Welcome to the first Tale of More Warlords Community Round-Up. It has been really a great month for hobby progress on the Discord channel and on Twitter here is everything submitted.

Month 4

Rules remain the same as the last challenge (Tale of Four Warlords)

Month 4 means everyone is should be near that 1000 point army and starting to add those couple of big units in for the last two months!

Lets see how everyone got on!

Smug

I got plenty done this month; I finished the melta-Dominion squad, I painted 2 out of 3 Penitent Engines, I finished my Kit-bashed Dialogus and I painted the beautiful Imagifier. I hope I can keep this momentum going into next month.

Scapegoat Ste

So I managed to paint (for my Ogors) a second Butcher and 2 units of 4 Leadbelchers this month. As well as have a game vs my daughters Maggotkin who just couldn’t punch hard enough against my big lads! I also managed to paint an Imperial Knight with a magnetised alternative loadout, a Primaris Librarian and 3 Suppressors (but was only able to upload 5 pictures here).

Having great fun painting my Ogors and looking forward to a break from their infantry next month by painting my Stonehorn!

Rich Donny Mutant

Just a little over half way through now I’ve finished these three units. I’ve only got another three units to do but I’m splitting them over the next two months. I’ve said it before but I’m really enjoying this tale of warlords and I’ll be using the system for the next six months on other armies.

Rhiannony

I painted about 700-800 points this month to catch up! My army is now at 1,013 points. Taking a palette cleanser break now to paint some Genecult but I will be back with more Sisters!

JB_Paints

Didn’t get finished this month, this guy kept taking a back seat to my Star Wars minis, I am happy with the progress I’ve made on it though, a couple more sessions should see him done.

Craig

Completed a Nurgle underworlds warband, which is the first ever time I’ve painted anything for Nurgle. Liked the greens a lot! Rest of the month has been quiet, as I’ve had disruption to my buying due to the lockdown and delays to deliveries.

Alicia

This month I didn’t meet my target, this was partly due to a lack of motivation to paint, mostly due to the lockdown, partly because for some reason I decided to mostly assemble the Wulfen and partly because of model choice. The Wulfen are well sculpted models, they’re unfortunately not the easiest models to paint and there were decisions made during the design/sculpting that I just don’t get, like why do they have power packs when there’s nothing to power? On the other hand I did manage to get Bjorn the Fell Handed done including all the ranged weapon options and magnetising the arms for easier travelling. All in all a tough month but not one I’m too unhappy about.

Jammerjun

No photo for this month as I didn’t tackle my Spacewolves at all.
So I guess no points 🙂

Warbringer’s Round Up

A really good month and its great to see people come back with month 2, which I can tell you is the hardest month to do.

There has been some really solid work and I would like to highlight both

Smug– I love the new sisters models and boy, is Smug doing an awesome job on them. The penitent engine is such a charactherful miniature and the paint job really brings out the dark gritty nature of 40k the blood and gore on the miniature doesn’t make it look less imperial which is always the concern. The cannoness with the cherub really caught my eye her face is great and the subtle shading on the corset and the leg is really impressive – Well done!

Rhiannony – “Pacey” is a word I would use to describe our girl Rhi! I know for a fact that before I’ve even finished writing April’s round-up post she has finished May’s pledge! Amazing progress.

This month her work was mega impressive, the sheer volume of work put out is great but at not a loss of quality. Actually I think this is some of Rhi’s best work – Always improving is the aim of the game and I think you have it nailed Rhi. I also particularly love the colour scheme (I have a thing for purple and green) and they look really coherent on the tabletop all together!

Well done all – What did you think of the warlords?
