Salamanders WIP Part 2 – Primaris Aggressors and more!

As you may have read from my first WIP post – Click here if you missed that one.

I thought I’d show a work in progress update on the Aggressors and some more of my work, stuff thats on the worktop and that I’m trying to complete.

My currently methodology is build as much as I can then airbrush and get base coated, then focus on repeating that and treating myself to painting a unit to completion each time round

This is what the aggressors looked like last time I posted and its where I left of:

Now I’ve managed to get them much further along, I noticed when undercoating that I had left off a piece of the armour from the right aggressors and his left leg, so I added that and re-basecoated.

I’ve now got them all started I’ve been going on the following colours in order all Vallejo colours (Game Air)

  1. Basecoat with Dark Green
  2. Zenithal highlight with Jade Green
  3. Highlight with Sick Green
  4. Highlight again with 1:2 mix of Sick Green : Scorpy Green
  5. Final Highlight of Scorpy Green
1. Dark Green
1. Dark Green
2. Jade Green
2. Jade Green
3. Sick Green
4. Sick Green / Scorpy Green

At the same time I’ve managed to get a bit more done!

And the final piece, I’ve been working on a homage to all the blog authors on Krakendoomcool.

From Left to Right
Vt Sgt Pandora (Its a girls name but you tell him.) – TH/SS Terminator
Magni Warbringer – 2nd Company Techmarine
Brother Chaplain Kraken Doomcool – 2nd Company Chaplain.

  1. I’m impressed by the the progress your making on multiple projects. Mine seem to grind to a halt if i so much as think about another one.

    Cool to see the Agressors coming along, i know you were eager to get on with them before you moved.

    Also its about time Vulkan got some action, that poor guy has been converted a long time, exciting to see him come to life.

    As always, the creative stuff is my favourite. The Krakendoomcool Bog Trio are awesome, i like like the thoughtbthats gone into them and the little touches that personalise them. So cool, its a pleasure to be included in a project like that. Thanks man

  2. Really great to see that Airbrush working out for you. Those greens are great. I love seeing myself as a model. Approriately (for your army) your version of yourself is decidedly more heroic than me and pandora there.

    1. I think yours is pretty heroic too as a chaplain I feel its right. I might do Primaris versions soon also. Airbrush is working really well, you sure you don’t want to part with it?

      2. Krakendoomcool lent me his setup. I’ve offered to buy it and save him worrying about getting that all working.

      3. Where is it from originally though… I wouldnt know where the best place would be to go to get one. Might need to nudge some people in the right direction around Christmas 😋
